Bean Curd with Ground Beef and Chili Peppers


Ingredients:
  • 2 cakes bean curd (3/4 lb)
  • ¼ lb ground or minced beef
  • 3 tbsp oil
  • 1 clove garlic, cracked
  • 5 chili peppers, chopped
  • 1 tbsp chopped leek
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tsp sugar
  • 2 tsp cornstarch, mixed with ½ cup water or broth
  • 1 tbsp sesame oil
 Directions:
  1. Cut bean curd into small triangles or mixed geometric shapes.
  2. Heat oil and fry garlic, red peppers and leek. Add meat.
  3. When meat changes color, add bean curd, coy sauce and sugar.
  4. Cover with lid and cook for 10 minutes. Then add cornstarch mixture.
  5. Turn out into serving dish, sprinkle with sesame oil, and serve hot.
